Phil Ivey Busts in 8th

1 September 2012

Action is definitely heating up as we have lots of players making the All-In call.  First we had, Nick Wong with 325K double up off Stanley Choi leaving Choi with a comfortable 1.2 million chips.

Eventually, Phil Ivey battled went heads up against chip leader Zhen Tang.

Ivey had suited K♥6♥, and Zhen had K♣9♣, the flop came which was 4♣K♠J♦ giving Zhen the advantage with a nine kicker, then came the turn 5♦, then the river 3♣, Zheng won the hand and put Ivey into 8th going home with $600,000HKD prize money.

9 times WSOP bracelet winner, Phil Ivey was in 6th place when the final table began with 490,000 chips.
